New Gospel Tracts

The leafleting of gospel literature has a long and rich history in New York City. That history continues here in Greenpoint and the surrounding communities as we share the good news through gospel tracts. Tracts are short gospel messages printed in mass that we distribute on the streets and near parks and subway entrances. We are always sure to do this in a neighborly manner and in accordance with state and city regulations. Over the years we have used many different designs. Our newest is called, "are you good enough to get to heaven?" This tract is designed to effectively communicate the gospel to a lost person and motivative a saved person to live for God. Our prayer is that this message of hope and salvation will bless our neighborhood.

Christmas in Greenpoint

Join us this Christmas season at North Brooklyn Baptist Church. We will be having special Christmas messages throughout the month of December. Wednesday December 21 at 7:30pm is our Family Christmas Night. We will have Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, a craft for the kids, a devotion and the Charlie Brown Christmas Special!

Christmas Day we will be having church service at 10am! It will be a special time for our church as it will be our last Christmas season in the old rope factory before we move down the street. Our service will last one hour and will bring the real meaning of Christmas to your heart.

Live Chat at NorthBrooklyn.info

Another improvement to our website is the ability to live chat. This gives you quick access to a church representative to find out more about the church or to plan your visit. You may also live chat with us to request prayer.  Just click the "Hello" button at the bottom of the page on desktop or mobile to be connected. If we are out of the office, you can still send a message and it will be answered as soon as possible.

Throughout the year the children participate in special music and bible memory presentations.

An Independent Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY

If you are from other parts of the country or the world, you may be familiar with independent Baptist churches. Independent Baptist churches go by different names around the world. Some are called Bible Baptist Church of (local city), Christ Independent Bible Baptist Church, Baptist Tabernacle, Baptist Temple, Calvary Baptist Church, Christian Bible Baptist Church or many other titles.

North Brooklyn Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist Church.

This distinction represents our doctrine and history not necessarily our affiliation with other churches. While we fellowship and help churches of like faith and practice we do not represent or speak for any or all churches, Baptist or otherwise. We believe in the autonomy and self-government of the local church.

Missions

How does a church effectively fulfill the great commission that Jesus gave to His church? MISSIONS. North Brooklyn Baptist Church is a "Mission's Minded" church. That means we give directly to national and international missions efforts above our tithes. We regularly pray for the missionaries we support and read their letters during Bible Study so we can stay up to date on their needs.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
— Matthew 28:18-20

Currently we support two missionaries and plan to increase their support and add more missionaries as the church grows. We support the Thomas Family who are starting the New Heights Baptist Church in Inglewood, CA. We also support a family who are missionaries in China. Due to the legal issues involved in ministering in a country that is hostile to missionary efforts, we can not list their names online.
